Quite often we are asked to remap a car that has been remapped elsewhere and the customer wasn't happy about the results and wanted a second opinion. In this case the car had been remapped by the local facebook advertising carbon cleaning company and had been back for a second revision as there were problems with the first remap. Usually, we would remap the EDC17CP42 ECU via the OBD port but in this case, we chose to connect directly to the ecu to see exactly what had been changed. The ECU was totally stock except for a butchered "injection volume calculation map for torque monitoring"  which would give zero benefits from a performance point of view. No fault codes in the car so we installed our map and let Chris go off for a test drive. He returned happy, no bogging down and pulling well up to the legal limits.
